Altar Servers
Altar servers assist the priest celebrant and deacon during Mass. This ministry welcomes boys and girls of our parish who have made their First Eucharist and are entering the third grade or older. Altar servers usually serve on a rotating schedule at the Mass their parents normally attend. Training classes are required.
Los monaguillos asisten al sacerdote celebrante y al diácono durante la Misa. Este ministerio acoge a los niños y niñas de nuestra parroquia que han realizado su Primera Eucaristía y están ingresando al tercer grado o más. Los servidores del altar generalmente sirven en un horario rotativo en la Misa a la que normalmente asisten sus padres. Se requieren clases de entrenamiento.
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
The Extraordinary Ministers perform a great service to St.Theresa Catholic Church by assisting priests and deacons with the distribution of Holy Communion during all Eucharistic celebrations. Ministers serve on a rotating basis and all must be commissioned prior to service by attending a training seminar.
Los Ministros Extraordinarios prestan un gran servicio a la Iglesia Católica de Santa Teresa ayudando a los sacerdotes y diáconos con la distribución de la Sagrada Comunión durante todas las celebraciones eucarísticas. Los ministros sirven en forma rotativa y todos deben ser comisionados antes del servicio al asistir a un seminario de capacitación.
Lectors
Lectors assist during the Liturgy of the Word by proclaiming the first and second readings. The Lectors also join the opening procession when there is no Deacon present raising the Book of Gospels through the Assembly and placing it on the altar. Each lector is provided a helpful workbook which helps with pronunciation of words as well as other speaking tips. Lectors must be in at least the 9th grade or older and must attend a training session prior to serving.
Los lectores ayudan durante la Liturgia de la Palabra proclamando la primera y la segunda lectura. Los Lectores también se unen a la procesión de apertura cuando no hay un Diácono presente elevando el Libro de los Evangelios a través de la Asamblea y colocándolo sobre el altar. Cada lector recibe un libro de trabajo útil que ayuda con la pronunciación de las palabras, así como otros consejos para hablar. Los lectores deben estar por lo menos en el noveno grado o más y deben asistir a una sesión de capacitación antes de servir.
Ushers
Ushers serve by greeting members at the entrance, assisting in seating the congregation, collecting the offertory, directing communion lines and passing out the bulletins. Ushering is a great privilege and a sacred duty and we are always happy to have additional volunteers.
Los ujieres sirven saludando a los miembros en la entrada, ayudando a sentar a la congregación, recogiendo el ofertorio, dirigiendo las filas para la comunión y distribuyendo los boletines. Servir de ujier es un gran privilegio y un deber sagrado y siempre estamos felices de tener más voluntarios.
